Water Main Replacement

Beginning on or about Monday, July 17, 2023, NJAW will be replacing 4500 feet of aging 6" & 8" cast iron pipe that was installed in the 1950s with 8-inch ductile iron main on :

• Osborne Avenue
• Vista Lane
• Birch Place
• Walton Avenue

Additionally, they will be installing meter pits at the curb area (in the right of way) of properties where none exist and will contact you to set up an appointment to move the meter from inside the property to the meter pit.  Weather permitting, NJAW contractor, Vollers, will complete the work by the end of September with final street restoration to be scheduled in the fall of 2023.  Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm, weather permitting.

Beginning on or about January 16, 2023, New Jersey American Water will begin a water main replacement project that will replace approximately 2100 feet of aging 6-inch and 8-inch cast iron water main that was installed in the 1940's with a new 8-inch ductile iron main, and replace 56 utility-owned services lines from the main to the curb and upgrade 3 hydrants. This work will take place from:

• The Fellsway from Maple Street to Forest
• Maple Street from The Fellsway to Mountain Avenue

Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm, weather permitting.
