Fire Prevention

The duties of the Fire Prevention Bureau include but are not limited to inspections in commercial buildings in accordance with the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code and the Borough Code of New Providence.

Inspection of Residential Occupancies

The Bureau also conducts inspections of residential occupancies upon sale or change of tenancy to ensure compliance with the states Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector regulations as well as Borough Code.
