[ARCHIVED] National Night Out Celebration with Concert Returns August 1!

National Night Out logo

National Night Out is a FREE annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Please join the New Providence PBA, Fire, EMS, and the New Providence Business Community on Tuesday, August 1 from 7 - 9 p.m. on Academy Street and in Centennial Park for a fun-filled evening.  Police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians will have their equipment on display and will be on hand to interact with kids of all ages. The celebration also features a FREE outdoor concert featuring Al Elefante and the 17-piece NJ Jazz Academy, fun activities and games for kids, free hot dogs from Prestige Diner served by the NP Lions Club, free ice cream from Zita’s Homemade ice cream, free water and cake from Acme Markets, and giveaways and games from local businesses. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, there will not be fireworks at the event.

This is an opportunity for the entire family to meet and thank the people who serve and protect us and the businesses that keep our town thriving!  Please support the generous sponsors who have made this event possible: Acme Markets, Advanced Financial Credit Union, the Downtown Improvement District, Elefante Music and School for the Performing Arts, New Providence AT&T, NJ Sharing Network, NP Lions Club, PC Richards and Sons, Terrana Orthodontics, Union County Prosecutor’s Office, and Zita’s Homemade Ice Cream.
