Passaic Street Bridge Closure moved to Thursday, January 30
The Borough was advised of an updated schedule for the Passaic Street Bridge project. A temporary traffic signal will be installed in Chatham at the intersection of River Road and Central Ave/Fairmount on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. It will remain in place throughout the bridge closure. Due to the addition of the temporary traffic signal, the bridge closure has been moved to Thursday, January 30, 2025. The first two weeks of the closure will allow PSE&G and NJ American Water to perform their utility disconnects, followed by JCP&L addressing the electric. Once the utility providers have completed their work, the contractor will begin the bridge demolition work. Please observe posted detours to navigate around the closure.
