The Borough of New Providence will be joining municipalities across New Jersey in celebrating NJ Local Government Week from April 6 to 12, 2025. Local government is the government closest to the people, and the one with the most direct daily impact upon its residents. It is important that residents understand how their local government operates, the services it provides, and the importance of their active involvement.
“NJ Local Government Week is an opportunity to engage our residents and help them become more informed about the many services we provide, while celebrating the importance and work of local government,” said Mayor Al Morgan. “We are excited about participating in NJ Local Government Week and hope to engage students, residents, business owners, and senior citizens in our upcoming events.”
National Library Week is also April 6 – 12! Below is a list of events planned for the week. Please check www.newprov.us and www.newprovidencelibrary.org for updates. NJ Local Government Week activities are all free and open to the public!
