NJ American Water Company has emergency work that is going to start at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Elkwood Av and Academy St. There is a valve they are replacing on a 20 inch main. Academy St. wil be closed to all traffic and Elkwood Av. will be closed to eastbound traffic from Passaic St. to Jane Rd. The water company has to shut down 14 valves to complete the work, so all of Elkwood Ave., Academy St., and Pine Way will have no water starting at 8 p.m. They estimate having water back on around 2 a.m. and the job completed by 6 a.m.
