The New Providence Police Department is pleased to announce their Senior Citizen - Police Officer Liaison Program. The program is designed to provide members of the senior community, with direct access to local police officers. Five police officers from the New Providence Police Department have volunteered to dedicate their time "getting to know" members of the senior community.
We are concerned about the number of times senior citizens become the victim of a scam artist or the insistent telephone solicitation. Senior Citizens may not have anyone to turn to for advice or guidance. The purpose of the program is to develop a friendship between members of the senior community and their police officers. We hope that through this friendship, lines of communication between the senior citizen and the police officers will be enhanced.
The Liaison Officers are here to help and to answer any questions that you may have. Please feel free to give any of the officers, including myself, a call at any time. We're here to help.
We can be reached 24 hours a day at 908-665-1111.
