Permits & Licenses
Various permits and license are processed through the Clerk's office. A permit/license application must be submitted with the corresponding fees and paperwork to the Borough Clerk's office for consideration. Many approvals require Council action or State approval. Consideration must be given by the applicant for timely submittals of applications; 30 days in advance of a council meeting is usually required. The following forms or instructions are available to print; however, this does not constitute approval for any permit. 2026 CURRENT PERMIT HOLDERS - SOLICITOR / PEDDLER
Solicitors must wear a badge provided by the Borough Clerk's office. The following permit holders have been issued a license by the Borough and have completed a background check by the New Providence Police Department. If you have any questions or concerns regarding a solicitor please contact the Borough Clerk's Office 908-665-1400 x0 or call the non-emergency police number if it's after normal business hours 908-665-1111.
