Public Information Officer

The Public Information Officer creates, coordinates, and disseminates official public information for all aspects of the Borough of New Providence. This department provides timely information about borough services, projects, programs, and events to residents, businesses, and other interested parties. The Public Information Officer oversees the municipal newsletters, annual calendar, social media, community bulletin board, municipal website, and media relations.

Smart911 provides emergency information by telephone, text, fax, and email about high-priority town events. The Borough of New Providence strongly encourages all residents and business owners to create a Smart911 profile.  Having a profile not only ensures that you will receive emergency alerts, but also helps emergency services to respond more effectively by providing them with crucial medical and location information.
